Quick homemade pizza dough made without a long rise time. Perfect for easy pizza nights.

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cups warm water (not hot)

  • 1 teaspoon sugar

  • 2 1/2 teaspoons active dry yeast

  • 4-4 1/4 cups all-purpose flour (or gluten-free all-purpose flour)

  • 1 teaspoon kosher salt

  • 1/3 cup extra virgin olive oil

Instructions

Step 1: In a large bowl combine warm water, sugar, and yeast. Allow to sit briefly while preparing remaining ingredients.

Step 2: Add flour, salt, and olive oil. Mix until a dough forms.

Step 3: Knead until smooth, adding additional flour if needed until the dough is workable.

Step 4: Divide dough if making multiple pizzas and roll to desired thickness.

Step 5: Transfer to a preheated pizza stone or parchment-lined baking sheet.

Step 6: Use a fork to poke holes across the crust to prevent puffing.

Step 7: Pre-bake at 475–500°F (or as hot as your oven allows) for 4–5 minutes.

Step 8: Remove from oven, add toppings, then return to bake until cheese is melted and crust is golden.
