Some mornings are busy before they even begin, which is why I love having breakfast ready and waiting in the refrigerator. These Blended Tiramisu Overnight Protein Oats are creamy, nourishing, and taste like a special treat while still being made with wholesome ingredients.

Whether you’re heading out to the garden, getting kids ready for the day, or simply trying to make mornings a little less hectic, this make-ahead breakfast is one of those little things that helps the day start well.

Why You’ll Love This Recipe

This recipe combines hearty oats, protein-rich yogurt, espresso, maple syrup, and warm vanilla into a breakfast that’s both satisfying and refreshing. Blending the oats creates an incredibly smooth texture that feels almost like dessert, while the yogurt layer gives it that classic tiramisu-inspired finish.

Preparing a few jars ahead of time makes busy mornings so much easier, and they’re perfect for grabbing straight from the refrigerator when you need a quick, nourishing breakfast.

Ingredients Needed

Organic rolled oats
Milk of choice
Chia seeds
Maple syrup
Vanilla extract
Espresso or strong coffee
Cinnamon
Salt
Almond butter (optional)
Protein Greek yogurt
Vanilla protein powder
Cocoa powder

Equipment Needed

Blender or food processor
Mixing bowl
8-ounce mason jars
Spoon

Instructions

Step 1: Add the rolled oats, milk, chia seeds, maple syrup, vanilla, espresso (or coffee), cinnamon, salt, and almond butter, if using, to a blender or food processor. Blend until completely smooth.

Step 2: Let the oat mixture rest for about 5 minutes so the chia seeds can begin thickening the mixture.

Step 3: Meanwhile, stir together the protein yogurt, vanilla protein powder, and maple syrup until smooth and creamy.

Step 4: Divide half of the oat mixture between two 8-ounce mason jars.

Step 5: Spoon the yogurt mixture evenly over the oat layer.

Step 6: Finish with the remaining oat mixture.

Step 7: Cover and refrigerate for at least 4 hours or overnight.

Step 8: Just before serving, dust the tops with cocoa powder.

Tips & Tricks

Blending the oats creates an incredibly smooth, pudding-like texture.

Allowing the oat mixture to rest before layering helps it thicken for the best consistency.

Espresso gives these oats their classic tiramisu flavor, but strong brewed coffee works just as well.

For the richest flavor, prepare the jars the night before so everything has time to meld together.

Variations

Top with fresh berries for a bright summer twist.

Sprinkle chopped dark chocolate over the cocoa powder for an extra treat.

Swap the almond butter for cashew butter or leave it out entirely.

Use your favorite dairy or plant-based milk to suit your family’s preferences.

Storage & Leftovers

Store covered in the refrigerator for up to 4 days.

Dust with cocoa powder just before serving for the freshest flavor and presentation.

These overnight oats are meant to be enjoyed cold, making them perfect for meal prepping several breakfasts at once.

One of my favorite ways to make busy mornings feel a little more peaceful is by preparing breakfast the night before. Having something wholesome, filling, and ready to grab means one less thing to think about as the day begins. These blended tiramisu overnight oats are a simple reminder that caring for your family doesn’t always have to be complicated—sometimes it’s as easy as opening the refrigerator to a homemade breakfast that’s ready to enjoy.
