Buttery, crisp cheddar crackers made quickly in a food processor, so good you’ll be making them on repeat!

Ingredients

  • 8 oz cheddar cheese, shredded (white or yellow)

  • 1 cup flour

  • 1/2 teaspoon salt

  • 1/4 cup butter, cold and cubed

  • 2 tablespoons milk

Instructions

  1. Heat the oven to 325°F and line a baking sheet with parchment.
  2. Add the flour and salt to the food processor and pulse once or twice to combine.
  3. Add the cold butter and pulse until the mixture looks crumbly.
  4. Add the shredded cheese and pulse a few times to distribute.
  5. Pour in the milk and pulse just until the dough comes together. Stop as soon as it forms a cohesive mass.
  6. Turn the dough out onto a lightly floured surface.
  7. Roll it thin — the thinner it is, the crispier the crackers.
  8. Cut into small squares and transfer to the baking sheet. They need space in between them so they crisp up.
  9. Poke with a fork or a skewer to resemble the real deal.
  10. Bake for 15–20 minutes, until lightly golden and crisp.
  11. Let cool slightly; they firm up as they cool.
