Wife, mama, homesteader, and lover of all things cozy & intentional.
Hey There, Friend — I’m Kelsey
a wife and mom of two, born and raised in the Pennsylvania countryside. A lover of all things cozy—cottage gardens, climbing roses, antique store hopping, classical music, beautiful food, and a good cup of coffee.
I believe home is sacred, food is meant to nourish, handmade and homegrown should be favored, family is a treasure, and faith belongs at the heart of it all.
I desire to be a good steward of all I’ve been given—through simple food, beautiful homemaking, purposeful homesteading, and the like.
It’s in this space that I share my knowledge, my experience, and the fruit of my hands—offered with honesty, intention, and heart.
A journey from survival to calling—shared so you can find your way home, too.
I’m not a trained chef, a professional gardener, or even someone who grew up knowing how to do any of this
but I’m proof that you can learn. Over the years, I’ve taught myself how to cook from scratch, preserve food, grow a garden, care for a home, and live more simply and intentionally—all while raising little ones and learning to listen to the Lord’s leading along the way.
What started as survival—healing my body, protecting my family, and breaking away from broken systems—became something deeper: a calling.
Now, I get to help other women who are where I once was—tired, overwhelmed, curious, and unsure where to start. I share what I’ve learned (and what I’m still learning) to help women reclaim their homes, their health, and their peace by going back to the basics.
There’s nothing more fulfilling than watching someone light up as they bake their first loaf of bread, preserve their first jar of jam, harvest their first tomato or realize they can live differently—on purpose, with joy and peace.
How motherhood, struggle, and seeking truth reshaped the way we live.
In 2017 After becoming a mother—and facing health challenges that followed
I wanted to do right by my daughter, find healing for my own body, and understand why so many of the systems we relied on were failing us. —I turned to doctors for answers, but was met with dismissals, quick fixes, and more questions than solutions.
Feeling frustrated, overlooked and determined to figure it out, I found myself deep in research.
I spent countless hours pouring over studies, reading books, and learning from those with true wisdom and lived experience. Through that season, the Lord began to open my eyes. What He revealed to me through that guided search completely transformed the way we live—for the better.
As we began living this new way of life, the Lord placed a calling on my heart: to share what I’d learned.
To encourage others to think freely, question broken systems, learn old (yet timeless) skills, return to our roots, and experience the healing that comes from a life that is simple, quiet, and full of purpose.
Facts About Kelsey
One
I adore the worlds of Jane Austen, J.R.R Tolkien, and L. M. Montgomery. I’m just a girl who loves afternoon tea time and dresses, hobbit holes and a world that has octobers.
Two
I currently have 14 David Austin Rose bushes and quite truthfully believe one can never have too many roses. It is my aim to one day have a garden fully dedicated to them.
Three
I’ve played piano and violin since childhood and even went on to pursue a music performance degree. I ultimately decided that was not a career I wanted to continue pursuing but still have an appreciation and fondness for classical and romantic era music. I usually jam out to it while cleaning and gardening.
